Our Passions at HBC

As the living body of Christ we seek to live out Jesus Christ’s two most important mandates: To love God, and to love each other. Whether through heartache or joy, suffering or celebration we find our reason and purpose in life to pursue God’s individual calling in our lives together.

To accomplish this goal, we host a number of Sunday morning and Wednesday evening Bible Studies, engage in family style social events, and organize ways to impact the community with outreach. To learn more about each of these areas, please explore below!

Sunday School Bible Studies

Our Sunday School Bible Studies are where the most theological growth can happen, with close knit groups coming together to dive deeper into God’s Word than the average sermon can go. Our group leaders are friendly, and easy to find! Look for these folks to get plugged in:

Don Maddox – Adult Bible Study

Sarah McLean – Adult Bible Study

Dorthy James – Women’s Bible Study

Sam Kirk – Young Families Bible Study

Nate Bressler – Youth (Middle/High School)

We also have plenty of opportunity for your rugrats to learn more about Christ!

Jason Gattis – Infant to 2 yrs

Donna Gattis – 2 – 5 yrs

Lisa and Karen – K – 2nd Grade

Melissa and Diane – 3rd – 5th Grade

Wednesday Night Bible Studies

Wednesday nights are our most church community oriented time, with a meal prepared before hand at 5:30, and then Bible Study, service opportunities or special events within our church home.

TeamKid is headed up by Donna Gattis, and includes all primary aged children from infant to 5th grade.

The Uprising – Middle through High School Students, meet upstairs in the loft where things tend to get loud, ruckus and energetic! -> the Uprising

And Pastor Neal heads up an Adult Bible study in the sanctuary for all those who are seeking to go deeper into Gods Word, where questions and comments are always welcome, discussed among all present!

Church Family Events

Generally, the church body will get together once every 5th Sunday to enjoy an after church meal together in the fellowship hall. Also, whether its Christmas, Easter, Memorial Day or 4th of July, Hagerman Baptist Church loves reasons to host potluck style family meals on holiday Sunday afternoons.

Community Outreach

Hagerman Baptist Church recognizes our place in the Great Commission from the Lord Jesus to spread the Gospel message to the world, and most importantly that goal starts with our own backyard. Throughout the year, events such as food drives, youth outings, mission work and community engagement festivals cause excitement within our church body. Have an idea to present to the church for community involvement? Lets us know!
